Yoga & Meditation Retreats in Tunisia

Yoga and meditation retreats in Tunisia between the Sahara and the sea: desert camps, Tozeur oasis and Sidi Bou Said, with yoga, mindfulness and music.

Why a retreat in Tunisia?

Tunisia holds two landscapes that seem made for inner work. In the north, the Mediterranean village of Sidi Bou Said sits above the sea in white and blue, a short drive from Tunis, with narrow lanes, jasmine and wide views over the gulf. In the south, the desert opens: palm oases, salt plains and dunes that stretch to the horizon, and nights so clear that the sky feels close enough to touch.

Moving between the sea and the desert is a journey in itself. The coast invites you to soften and arrive; the desert asks you to let go of what you no longer need. Our Tunisia retreats are built around this contrast.

Practice in the desert

On our Tunisian journeys you practise yoga, guided meditation, mindfulness and breathwork, together with Energetic Body Realignment and Asha meditation, two approaches that are central to The Peace Center. There is time for desert walks, oasis excursions and music in the evenings. Silence plays its part too: in the desert, even a few minutes of stillness can feel very different from the same practice at home.

When to go

Spring and autumn are generally the most pleasant seasons for the Tunisian desert, with warm days and cool nights. Summer in the south can be very hot, while winter days are mild but desert nights get cold, so warm layers are always worth packing. Tunisia is also home to Rouhaniyat, a festival of sacred music that we love; see our events and festivals.

Who are these retreats for?

They suit anyone who wants a real pause: people feeling tired or overwhelmed, those curious about meditation in nature, and travellers who would like to discover Tunisia gently, with time for both practice and wonder. You do not need prior yoga experience.
